Slack on-site tips or advice?
I have slack on-site coming up soon, any tip or advice? Their on-site is mostly conversational maybe little bit of white boarding but no coding interview. This is for a staff software engineer position.
Be authentic. A big part of our process is gauging team and culture fit - if you come off as faking it in your interview you are more likely to get poor marks from the interviewers. It's not like some other companies where you need to fit a specific personality type - it's a pretty diverse group of people at Slack and different personalities can all fit well. Otherwise like a normal tech interview, ask clarifying questions, think first, help the interviewer understand your thought process, and be okay with saying I don't know.
