Yeh sdeskills thanks for taking the lead here and organizing it / I think one of my former mentor/friend started this sort of thing at Amazon to help people.
      Good luck !

@ OwO, most of it is public, the "shared group" thing is between them and I, so I did "reveal" more than I cared to. Definitely need to be more careful in the future.

How will this be effective with so many people attending? May as well watch a YouTube video, no?

That is a good point, this is not an instructional session. When folks walk in, they grab a handout ( https://jmpto.us/2019-09-28-handout ) and start practicing the questions in groups, usually 5-6 people. The facilitator + a few folks with a bit of experience, walk around the room to discuss your solution.

Then, the facilitator will kick off the session with their solution. Often one of the volunteers will step up and write their solution.

I think the interaction and seeing where your peer group is, makes this a bit more of a social thing. This helps staying motivated.

That said, the real learning is when you step up to facilitate the sessions. These sessions are led by volunteers who are sharing what they have prepared for. This format has evolved over the past 9 years, and will continue to evolve based on feedback from the participants.

Try attending one of the meetups and see for yourself!

This is what doomsday looks like. The more people should oppose and boycott Leetcode-style interviews, the more they are actually submitting to it.
