I was looking at the smartly MBA program. It looks very interesting but I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on the value that is placed on it within the industry. Thanks
Zero, nobody values a free online mba
http://smart.ly I think it's interesting. It's free so what do you have to lose except for time? As long as you don't *need* an MBA for your job, it seems low risk for possibly high reward if the market decides it doesn't have value.
I was thinking the same thing. Just wondered if anyone might have gone through the program or was involved in their professional network (which is where they make their money from employers)
I'm doing it now actually. I've just finished the Accounting coursework and exam. The other people in the program are all smart high achievers, which I think is kind of their trick in building their network.
Looks like they need a GMAT first .also none of them actually specify what is the ratio of remote/classroom learning .
Just read HBR articles. More useful
And take courses from MIT open course ware
zero. Don't waste your time
Stanford GSB also has courses/lectures on YouTube.
