Tecent just backed them up. I guess not too bad.

Microsoft Randomlyq Nov 8, 2017

Terrible path, next Zynga

Airbnb 0x00000000 Nov 8, 2017

At least Zynga is up 40% over the past year

Microsoft OCAmIEvil Nov 9, 2017

I also thought of Zynga. It's a replacement good for Farmville.

“Resigns”

Snapchat Yongson Nov 8, 2017

People on the inside are still drinking the cool aid pretty heavy to cope, but there's an increasing population in the company that believes we are totally fucked and are going into rest and vest mode to cope.

Snapchat SnapItback Nov 8, 2017

And the majority still really believe in the company in my experience. But to each his/her own.

Uber Rqwx5o Nov 9, 2017

There might not be much to vest unfortunately...

BlackBerry Android🤖 Nov 8, 2017

I think he resigned to avoid being fired for the recent outages

Snapchat snap2it Nov 8, 2017

Your information source isn’t great.

BlackBerry Android🤖 Nov 8, 2017

Good to know. Since you are at Snapchat give us the goodies

Facebook Bubbless Nov 8, 2017

Why do people like to assume shit

Facebook popit Nov 8, 2017

Almost a 50% drop in stock price are you suprisied?

Facebook Bubbless Nov 8, 2017

Well no I’m not surprised that he left, especially seeing the drop in stock I’m only saying that people like to assume why so and so leaves the company and tries to tie the two closest events together without much to go on

eHarmony EJJX25 Nov 8, 2017

I got interview call from them. Now going to postpone till next year to see how they do for another quarter .

Pinterest T84dS Nov 8, 2017

Now is when you get the large package. Join if you believe, don't if you don't. Once they start showing upward growth and satisfy wall st it's too late.

Snapchat Yongson Nov 8, 2017

You're assuming we get that growth.

Snapchat Covfefe Nov 8, 2017

This was planned for a while - a VP of engineering doesn't just step down at random. He hired a right hand man also from Amazon who has been shadowing for a year and will be taking over. Why did he leave? He got $40M in stock and probably wants to relax. This was probably planned in his mind before the company even IPO'D... When you look at the full picture it doesn't seem that shocking. (He's been here 4+ years, so he's fully vested) Tldr, we probably won't see any immediate changes. Maybe a different engineering culture in the long run?

Square ☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️ Nov 8, 2017

Many VPs are on a 7 year vesting cycle

Microsoft zAsc56 Nov 8, 2017

How come you guys didn't pick AWS for everything? I don't think GCP is there yet, especially for your scale

Snapchat camera-co Nov 8, 2017

This is probably a good thing. Jerry is a much more experienced and level headed leader than Tim. Tim's personality was great when the company was all about moving fast, but now having someone more refined will be really great.

Facebook gltrngstn Nov 8, 2017

Hopefully Jerry understands the value of analytics and can demonstrate this to Evan.

Snapchat camera-co Nov 8, 2017

Evan has certainly come around on analytics, there's a lot more A/B testing now than there once was.

Apple pch053 Nov 8, 2017

I won’t be surprised if the stock recovers to some extent and goes back in the range of $15 (like in the previous quarter). The bigger issue probably is how the user base grows and if Snap can diversify into other domains like camera, augmented reality, etc.
