Sneaky HR doesn’t go public with Policy change

So about two years back, SAP HR increased number of sick leaves from 10 to 14 and sent out a proud email about the policy change to everyone in the company. This year, they sneakily decreased it to 12 and no one was even informed about the change. On asking the HR why so, they replied “ah, well” a little more sophisticatedly though. Is your HR sneaky too? Maybe they’re stealing your bonus too.

My offer letter clearly states that I get my full bonus if I'm rated at or above Meets Expectations. Apparently this bonus cycle, you get 50% bonus if you get a Meets Expectations rating. This has not been communicated to anyone and I foresee a 🍿 situation unfolding when people realize it.

Is this because of a low company multiplier or an arbitrary change?

Idk what company multiplier means but yeah, seems arbitrary. Might have something to do with the fact that we lose $80M per quarter and spent >$400 per customer in customer acquisition costs over the last year. But if that's the case, be upfront about it. Don't pay people half the money and tell them about it later.

My HR lied to me about salary increment after promotion and kept telling that it is tied to H1B and above wage level. Still underpaid :(

our HR used a public slack channel to list employees to be laid off, age, gender, race demographics (of entire org). 🍿🍿

Im betting AFTER our recent layoffs they themselves will be laid off (or most of them). I expect a young coordinator to MAYBE make that kind of mistake, but it was VP , Sr. Manager. Serious circuz
