"and China" China's per capita pollution is an order of magnitude less than the USA, and that's before taking out the pollution caused by China producing stuff the Americans want. Who gives a shit about individual pollution? What matters are the big industries producing the bulk of it. Last I read China produces 30% of the air pollution and the USA about 12%, with India third at 7%.
What do you think a corporation is? Some monolithic entity that floats about spewing crap into the environment with no reason? The big industries are driven by what the individual consumes, the last time I checked the US at least still claims to be a capitalist system as opposed to... Centrally planned, no? Do you honestly believe that a country of people all driving their multiple pickup trucks and SUVs per family everyday while consuming prodigious amounts of products has moral high ground here over two countries where the citizens consume far less while still producing stuff for the first country?
