There's so much hype these days for 5G but I still can't wrapped my head around how Verizon my provider is going to sell me and everyone else on getting 5G as opposed to just sticking with 4G. As of right now speed is not an issue. It seems like when we talk about 5G we talk about all these future gadgets (IoTs) that could connect with our network, but unless these gadget are up and running and I own one of them I honestly don't think I would want 5G. Do you feel this way too? Or are you just waiting for the day to jump on the 5G network?
My xfinity internet speed has kind of started to slow down in last couple of months. I think that’s how they will sell.
Ah the legendary apple battery inspiration
Building out infrastructure with new capabilities. The fresh Silicon Valley folks will create the apps and tech to use the new capabilities. If you build it, they will come.
They are selling a commodity. They have to come up with something to market other than lack of customer service and coverage.
Same reason cars were used over horse carriages. You really think 4G speed will hold good in future?
The market is busting at the seams of LTE the bandwidth will not support the current growth rates. We see what’s happening YOY there is a need for millimeter wave length and 5G is just the next Gen nobody complained when 4G LTE was ushered in and this only bodes for future congestion woes
Tons of 4k (and higher) video. Also, fixed wireless for your home or office instead of cable or fiber.
It allows the government to track you better and geo-locate you better 🤷♂️
