Soecial Forces/FBI/DHS/ICE/ATF ect?

One of my interviewers (deoyment strategist) at Palantir said he was riding in the back of 3 letter agency vans finding and arresting people.

Another said he was deployed in Afghanistan at a forward operating base embedded with special forces guys.

does this stuff happen? whats the reality here

      I personally see no reason why a "nerd" would be embedded with an ops team. Maybe and it's a huge maybe they would be with the Det but def not outside the wire. The only guys that are techy that I've seen running ops are the combat comm guys.

    Def does happen, and there's a good amount of us in the tech world now. Buddy of mine went to Two Sigma and another to a pmc firm doing data like Palantir
