What is your software experience? If you're a good pm with a technical background you can easily pull $500k+/yr
comp is on par at best. you don’t switch to product because of comp, you do it because you’re more interested in the strategy and what to ship, rather than how to implement things. if that’s how you feel, do it. too many jr devs on blind talking shit about pm; ignore those. talk to sr mgrs and directors and ask them what they think.
