I'm an SDE with 2 year experience in amazon, currently working in Microsoft. I want to transition into Data Scientist/Applied Scientist roles. Is there any way to transition without doing Masters?
May need to take a pay cut to start over in an entry level analyst role.
Don't. Please. Jeez.
Swe > DS as a career path. Making a switch is a bad idea. If you insist, then become a machine learning engineer.
I meant for Applied scientist/ML engineer only. But in some companies they like they are referred as DS.

So what experience do you have? I find many Data Scientist at the big tech companies have an affinity for statistics and research and have or are getting their PhD in something. I feel the only way to transition without a credential is getting your experience up.
currently I only have experience in software engineering. I'm a full stack developer. I have done ML courses in my college so have a good understanding of it. Even I want to transition by getting good experience. But can't see any how can I achieve this.
