Software sales salaries

What's a typical sales structure for an enterprise SaaS sales person? How much base and what % of sales do they typically get? For example a Workday, SAP, Avature...etc

I make 90k per year and 5% on all sales. I get the 5% for the life of the customer.

My current role I'm getting 95 base and about 80 in variable comp. Currently my % commission goes up along with YTD bookings % so I'm incentivized to bring in more revenue as early as possible. This is at a company transitioning to SAAS and this is in AUD. However, I just accepted a role at one of the big 5 and I'll be at 175 base + 65 variable + RSUs. I don't know what the % commission breakdown looks like yet though sorry. This is at a cloud computing company and is in USD.

Still at AWS? Lol

It's definitely a mix. An enterprise sales rep will get more than 0% base pay and more than 0% variable pay based on sales performance. Neither will be a full 100%. Just getting the obvious out of the way, so we can build from here.

Also curious how Avature was listed above when talking about the likes of Workday and SAP. I've worked in HCM for a few years now and have never heard of them..
