I know Splunk pays well but how is it in terms of:

1. Handling Visa/GC process. How soon they file for GC upon joining?
2. Career growth
3. Stability

    1. 6 months
    2. Depends on your team and abilities
    3. The product vision changes with the market, but overall pretty stable I would say

Thanks for the response. Would they make an exception for someone who wants to file GC before 6 months? Are there regular layoffs?

I have found Splunk to be very supportive and a great company across all the above dimensions you have listed.

Splunk pay is comparable to other tech companies if you’re a new hire. Im joining SF with higher TC at same level. The median pay across the company is high because of old timers still around and vesting stocks they got 3-4 years back.

My comp wasn't high at splunk. Those who joined 2+ yrs before me had good RSU numbers which splunk has revised for new hires. My comp was comparable to other public tech companies.

No they don't make exceptions its a company wide policy. Along with the question regarding layoffs I am curious whats the rationale behind the question?
Don't you think you can perform ? The interview process is typically indicative of the expectations , did you feel you will not meet them ?

The layoffs have potential to impact the PERM process (first stage of the GC process) of the employee. Together with the policy you mentioned, it could add long delays for initiating GC, hence the question. Not worried about performing at the job :)

Afaik other than faang most mid sized companies have the 6 month policy. Again I am not on h1 so I am not sure about the implications. Typically a company growing at 30% a year is not laying people off unless you don't perform and hence my question. I don'tsee any obvious red flags . Good luck and hope you join us for the fun ride !.
