Just received a verbal offer:- YOE: 3.5 Base: 130 Bonus: 10% RSU: 1000 Location: San Jose Recruiter told me that the level would be P3. I think the offer is too low.
220 tc minimum, if not 250k. Splunk has become super cheap, don’t know why. I experienced it. My Amzn L5 was better than Splunk P4. I will say 150-160 base. Bonus 15%, and 1500 RSU.
I thought the same. The base is lower than what I currently have. I work for a startup though....

OP - The bonus percentage and RSU numbers are right in line with what most eng folks get joining at this level. However you should renegotiate your base.
Thats exactly what I did.. lets see what they do. Are you sure about the bonus ? I heard it was 15%.
It is 10% for engineers and 25% for customer success managers. Not sure where you got the 15% from. The last earning call Splunk was able to double their numbers therefore engineers got double of their bonus as a one off. But 10% is the standard. Good luck

RSU is 1000 unit of stocks (250 units per yr) or $1M over 4 years ($250k / yr) Which one is the case?
It is 1000 RSUs over a four-year period. First 25% will vest at one year anniversary of your employment. Definitely not $1M over 4 years.
