Spotify vs Pandora?
As a customer is it Spotify all the way? How about as an employee? Is Spotify better as well?
Does anybody still use Yahoo for searches?
Netflix or Hulu?
Def Spotify, way more innovative and in it for the long haul
Pandora gives way better recommendations. It is the oldest AI powered music recommendation system on earth, with over 15 years of music genome and listening data. No other recommendation systems come close. Due to newer licensing though Spotify has a wider breadth of music, and their social features are on point. You come for their catalog, stay for the friends.
Not sure if anyone can do an employee comparison unless they’ve worked for both companies but the work life balance at Pandora is great. Speed to innovation not so much. Depending on your career goals, this is worth taking into account.
Pandora says they have more users, but how come everyone I see on BART opens up Spotify and not Pandora. Also all if not most of my friends are on Spotify. IMHO, Spotify is way better. That said I'm sure Spotify's culture and WLB can't compare to Pandora 😁
Imo Pandora has better radio stations for sure but Spotify has better everything else
Pandora is a great place to work and I also use the app but just to be more familiar with the product. That being said I think it's a great app, my only issue is sometimes things are unavailable due to more limited licensing (or unwillingness to get sued, like Spotify) Hopefully since the Sirius acquisition we'll have more budget for licenses.
