So back in early 2017, I interviewed at Square. The first phone screen, the interviewer was constantly sighing, making condescending gestures and implications, and at one point was blatantly wrong until I convinced him I was correct on the subject. After, I didn’t wait for the results, I messaged my recruiter and explained the situation, she was nice enough to set me up with a second phone screen. Honestly, I didn’t prepare as intensely as I did in the recent months, so naturally I failed the second phone screen. This year, I’m getting a referral from a hiring manager, but 30min after applying, my application was rejected. The hiring manager informed me that the recruiter said it’s because I was interviewed earlier this year... which isn’t true. Is it possible I got banned?
Looks like (•_•) You are back to ( •_•)>⌐■-■ Square one (⌐■_■)
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I had a terrible experience with Square.
What happened for you?
Not worth getting into it on Blind. Just a shitty experience.
That's some incredible rationalization
Agreed, he's making up an excuse for being rejected.
Did you even read my post.....?
We let you interview once a year, which is pretty standard in tech. I have a coworker who interviewed with square twice until he got an offer, so I know this is possible. I’ve also interviewed a candidate that I’d been told had interviewed three years in a row! I encourage you to try again next year.
That’s the thing... I have interviewed for 1.5 years! Still not sure why they instantly rejected my app.
Haven’t**
Yes! Also, TC?
