Leet medium
Our questions are intentionally not supposed to be leetcodeish. Interviewers make up their own question or reuse one from someone that left. Quite a bit of unique questions.
I thought that those were for onsite interviews...I personally have got a Leetcode question in the phone interview and onsite ones were customized
It's just luck of the draw. Most of our questions have gone away from leetcode but some people are stubborn or aren't well trained. Almost all people only have 1 question (whether it's for phone screen or on-site) though
Care to share to ease off some scare?
I had the interview. It was actually quite enjoyable.
Do you mind sharing the basic process of the interview? I might have one next week but I've no idea what this pair programming is and how they plan on testing my skills
I just got rejected lol. It’s just asking u to build a function, and he kept adding use cases.
It will be an multi part interview question. After completing each task, the next task will build on top of your existing solution by adding or changing some use cases. Best thing to practice for this is to be comfortable coding fast and remembering to make it a conversation between you and your interviewer. They are there to help you and not trick you because that would be a waste of everyone’s time. They want to see you succeed just as much as you do. Make sure to discuss your solution and listen for feedback from them incase they try to subtly steer you in one direction or another. Focus on the current problem at hand without trying to optimize or abstract too many things in the beginning, you will have a chance to do that later if time permits. It’s better to get something down than nothing at all.
Do you have to get through all parts? Someone mentioned that there's 3-4 parts. Let's say you only completed 2 parts.
By the way, during the recruiter call he told me there would be two tech screens no matter what. So I did the first tech screen, and they decided to let me know that they wouldn’t be moving forward? What gives?
What role were you applying for and how did you do in your first interview?
Software engineer. I did average I think
