I am interviewing for Amazon for a Sr. Technical Recruiter role and I have over 10 years of experience. How much compensation should I look for?

I don't think a recruiter role can earn this level of income, even if it is senior inside FAANG

Do you think they will be ok if I ask for that?

Given that you have experience and are asking for a living wage in each of these locations, I don’t think it’s off base.

Comp varies largely among those locations. Are you in any of these cities or are you going to relocate?

Ok, first: congrats! Second, because cost of living varies a lot from one place to another, make sure you have your acceptable amounts based on where you'd live, how big your home will be, location (within the city i.e. downtown or suburbs) and other stuff you need to live a comfy life. If in NYC that number is idk 180k, then you need more than 180k to consider it a good deal. If that same number is 120k in Austin, then you consider it accordingly. As a recruiter, if you have the ability to get all options on the table (get all amounts of all cities) you may be able to make a better decision. If not possible, choose based on what city you are likely to be happier in the long term or even cities where you can find other opportunities in the future in case this turns out to be a nightmare (worst case scenario but hey, it happens!) good luck buddy! 😊

If your experience has been in tech companies, and recent few years as an in-house recruiter, the numbers suggested by Samsung seems within range, including stock options.

Does anyone know of the accurate numbers for the same role for Amazon Cupertino / Palo Alto?
