hey Guys, I am just curious about the odds of getting H1B transfer approval? background: Stanford/MIT non-CS but stem major masters degree. Joining company: Google or Facebook ( still deciding) Role: Product manager and I plan to join on receipt.Any advice will be appreciated.
There will be a little chance you be rejected with that background, especially joining big companies like G and F. However it’s end of year so the process might be slow from UCSIS. For me, it took around 1 month to prepare docs and received the approval without RFE.
Wow congrats to your approval! Can you share what’s your role and company you are joining?
You are better off asking this question on immigration forums outside than on blind you will get more responses
I see any legit forum you recommend?
Qesehmk or trackit
Sadly none:( ,none have sufficient data points . for every case the details are extremely varied hence I mentioned to you that it’s better to wait for the approval before joining. It’s upon your exact case , I doubt even the head of USCIS will give you a precise answer . it’s not a binary decision . Best of luck !
If you are Indian your chances of denial increases.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Make them file it in premium and wait for a month . Not worth the risk IMHO
But I wanna change my current job. I found there is always risk no matter which firm I go to. FB and google are the safer bet I guess so far.
if you knoa then why asking here?
