What kind of role/seniority at each? Startup is high risk/reward. You can usually expect lower base pay. Equity could pan out, but there's a good chance it won't. It's also nearly impossible to accurately value an equity grant at a venture funded startup.

What? If it's a solid growth state startup, it's way better than Target especially since you will be a people manager there.
