Stay for Promo or Leave Now

So I was told that im looking at a promo in about 6 months but also have an offer from FAANG. Current TC: 158k Base: 142 Perf: 12 Offer: 260K Base: 180 Perf: 18- up to 36 Sign on: 50 Rsu grant at signing : 200k over 4 year Promos here bump around tenish percent on base pay. Im trying to decide whether to stay & grow at current Org or switch with big pay bump & put in effort there. Also curious, im calculating tc as base + rsu grant / 4 + minimum/expected perf bonus. No refresher or appreciation added. Is this right? Thanks!

Leave. Everyone says their reports are 6 months away from promo.

Depends how many years you stay lol. The longer you stay the less it impacts your annual TC

Iā€™d take a ~65% pay bump in a heartbeat

If you canā€™t grow at c1 what are chances youā€™d grow in other places?

Uber waaaah Jul 11, 2019

100% chance of 65% growth

Hard to resist, agreed. But career is a long game, plus relo expenses

Go. Tread new ground and promotion could be just as fast but with better comp.

Unless Its a major promo that could translate to a higher level in faang.. No point staying..

Leave. Those who show you far off waters may be showing mirages :(

Is this even a serious question? Of course leave.

Leaving is always better. If they really like you enough to offer a promotion, then before leaving, negotiate a boomerang at the promoted level. However, returning back to a company is also not really a good idea at mid senior levels.
