Stuck at L6 PM
After spending close to 4 plus year amidst multiple restructuring and team changes, I am still not able to see a path forward for promo at Amazon. Problem is lot of other companies benchmark their leveling based on your current level at Amazon. I am not that keen on series A/B firms as just had a kid and not looking for uncertainty. What is my best option. Pls advice. Thanks.
If you’re at a terminal level, you might be, you know, not ever getting to a higher level. Most HR departments have a level description chart that spells out what the blocks are to getting to a certain level. For ICs, graduate degrees may be needed above a certain level.
I've seen a lot of L6s at Amazon complain about this who haven't done anything to earn L7. Have you read the promo guidelines?
Bull shit. If u think promos are based on level guide from HR, then can I have what you are smoking? Especially when talking about 6-7 or higher promos. Sheesh!!
