Which would you prefer... a place that has a proven business model that continues to grow or a small startup that has an unproven solution but all the free snacks, Coconut waters and gourmet coffee you can consume. Both opportunities exist.... what is your risk appetite?
Is that expected in Silicon valley? Such things are nearly unheard of here in the Midwest. I'm happy to have a great on-campus cafeteria with reasonable prices and break room coffee that isn't just foldgers.
It's pretty common
you'll probably be better off in the long run not getting free food and sodas.
Yes. A free fully-equipped onsite gym is far better to health and productivity. I can't imagine the second half of the workday without spending my lunch break under a barbell.
Yeah, I've put on some weight with two fully-stocked kitchens and regular catered lunches. I don't eat them anymore since I'm trying to lose weight. It's not as great of a perk as it sounds for an office worker.
Yeah I'd take a gym over free snacks. Also I'll take the extra 10k salary over a few few candy bars
Yeah but Amazon pays way less than Google and Facebook, which also have amazing perks.
How are the hours and work challenge? Honestly I know someone at google and legit he submits tickets and yeah he gets paid a lot but sometimes money isn't enough
I'd take the gym and the free snacks and a good pay.
Am I the only one who has to fly coach on all my international flights? It's not easy to qualify for an upgrade here at MSFT.
Come to ebay. We have free breakfast.
Much less prospect to the company though...
lol is eBay even in business anymore?
Oh yeah, we're not going anywhere.
Yeah but how much more are your RSUs worth now as opposed to when you started
