Super low RSU grant from FANG without previous FANG experience?

Hi blind <3

Got an E5/L5 offer from a FANG company.
The base part seems ok-ish (150-200k) range, RSU is 150k/4 (500-600k/4 expected).
No competing offers. No significant options/stock grant in current TC (outside US).

Is it a standard practice by those companies?
Is there something I can do to improve the offer?
Tnx.

YoE: 15
TC: 100k outside US

Do not worry man, I just looked you up in the database searching by Careem as a previous company. Positively identified with one result. You’re cleared to share your full offer details.

You gotta compare with Switzerland pay and not US

Cost of living pretty much matches Bay Area.

That's not how it works in corporate world. If you want US pay then you will have to move to US

Companies pay cost of demand, not cost of living lol

Salaried are not determined by cost of living... (high salaries can sometimes push cost of living up, not the other way around).

I think the term is cost of labor.

There's basically nothing you can do. Amazon plays hardball on negotiations.

    Where in Switzerland? Which company?
    Is it Oculus or Google?

If it’s Google, I know some ranges that my friends got. But give us the company!

Also note that Switzerland has much lower taxes than the US. Like way lower. Like 15% types. The housing is cheaper, quality of living is higher, manual labour and food more expensive but you end up saving more than you do in the US even if you earn 30k lesser than in the US.

      Share your friend's ranges pls.
      Another thread says it's 190k+300k/4 L5 G Zurich and it was 2018.

Dude at least tell which company it is!
It’s an anonymous forum and I feel weird revealing my friends’ salary information if you can’t even tell the company.

      175k+ base for L5, 140 - 160k base for L4

Google will definitely offer you a standard offer which will feel like a lowball after looking at Blind which is top heavy. Your negotiation depends on how well the HC scores you (75% weightage roughly) + counters (25% weightage roughly)

My friends got 120k GSU as L4 and 150k GSU as L5.
They were able to negotiate to 200k GSU L4 and 320k GSU L5.

It's Google. Decent base, low RSU.

I'd suggest coming into negotiations by declining the offer.

Either there will be a significant improvement in the offer so you can 4x current TC instead of 2x or they will mostly likely pass on you and offer the next candidate the same package.
