Hello, I I am currently working as a CAD engineer at Apple mostly focusing on tools and automation. I would like to switch to the AI roles after looking at the tremendous amount of growth opportunities that AI or ML has. Can someone please guide me to reach there ? I am very about the switch. Can you folks help me to know what’s a good start point and what are the topics that I should start focusing on ? What’s the skillset that are required for this roles ? I consider myself a being proficient in python scripting though. Thanks for your time, please share your thoughts 💭
In practice imo machine learning is a lot of application of tools and workflows. Think it’s overhyped.. Shrug

Interesting topic. I'm considering the switch myself. I wonder, though, how likely it would be to find a good (otherwise why bother?) job in ML with a PHd and/or domain expertise and experience in one of the ML sub-domains (e.g. computer vision).
Hey OP! Just wanted to check in and ask if you ever made this switch?
