Switch from pm to pmt

I am currently a technical program manager and wondering if I take an opportunity at Amazon as the pm non-tech. Is that easy for me to switch back to product manager tech? Thanks!

The roles are different and a transition from non-technical PM to PMT is likely to require you to change the team.

thanks! I didn’t ask my question clearly. I mean if I take the non tech pm role, after a few months or 1 year, if it’s easy to switch back to tech pm?

Exactly what I’ve tried to answer - it is possible, but would be a different role likely on a different team. It will also require an assessment of demonstrated technical skills to conform your eligibility. There is a process for that.

You'll have some benefit but It's still a new interview loop.
