I have 10 years of experience in the field of embedded software with strong C/C++/DS and algorithm. Know Python as well. I am looking to switch domain. Do you know any company who prefer to hire people for ML/AI with no prior relevant experience? Any referral will be appreciated. Also please feel free to suggest online courses that will be helpful for the transition.

why do u want to switch from embedded systems?
Good luck, this won’t be an easy transition, and ML teams and interviews are fundamentally different, from what I’ve experienced. For context, I’m still working on this exact transition (shooting to be an ML eng, not research sci). Things I would recommend: Master pandas and numpy (or alternatives in other languages); learn/remember statistics; learn the fundamentals on your own (check out StatsQuest on YouTube); go back to school/get a masters; CapitalG has a course for portfolio companies if you switch to one; practice, practice, practice
Also, with experience in embedded and some AI abilities, you could be a good fit at Lyft L5, Cruise, Uber etc., and would be a good way to get into the company and network internally to switch roles/develop the skill set
OP you can't switch directly. There are literally millions of people trying to break into AI/ML.

You can not switch directly to ML/AI. Amazon will be the best bet to change the domain and then move to ML/AI teams.
