I joined Microsoft a month back. I was interviewed in a hiring event and hence didn't get much information about the team before joining. After joining the team I realized that the project that my team is working on isn't that great and not aligned with my area of interest or past experience. Is it possible to switch teams at this point or do I have to continue working in this team for 1 year? TC: 170K
Which event and which team you ended up?
I changed teams internally and they pushed me into Delivery Management. My manager is an asswipe. I am looking to leave.
How can they push. Don't u have choice
They advertised the role as senior SWE and asked me to do delivery management when I joined - pushed me to a different team. It's very common in the industry. Picking a fight with my VP won't accomplish anything. They knew I won't join if they had told me earlier , and I wouldn't have - I had another offer.

I am also floating in same boat. Hired me as backend developer and gave me work of front end. Let m know if u get any info. Portal says u can try but people say interviewer will ask for reasons and its not really easy.
Does the interviewing team share your information with current team?
