what can i expect in a Sr SWE (java &Spring) interview ?Also what is the package 10 YOE can expect ?

    I wouldn't except LC type of questions. Make sure you know modern cloud native/12 factor and microservice paradigms.

    Most of the Java/spring apps are running on CloudFoundry or K8s these days backed by spring config server

      I haven't heard of many coding tests for our SWE but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

      Salary range is usually 95-135k or so, +15k annual RSU + 15% annual bonus

      Work life balance is excellent, and one of the things I like most about T-Mo.

      Least favorite thing is probably dealing with entrenched process and policies that can slow you down from getting shit done. It can be frustrating at times.

      Platforms like Kubernetes and CloudFoundry as well as public cloud adoption has abstracted most of the (internal) end users away from the problems, but things like a firewall rule in the datacenter can still test your patience.

      I'd be surprised to see 10 YOE get senior. We've hired people with 10 YOE at MTS and Principal level.

      Different story if they don't have the opening. With 10 YOE you should ask about a clear path to promotion. Nothing will be guaranteed but at least you cna make it clear that you'd expect a principal role in the short term.

      It is much more difficult to increase the level of a vacant role than to hire the opening you already have.
