TC Check: $155k with 2.5 yoe

Years of Experience: 2.5 Location: SF Bay Area Base Salary: $127k Target Bonus: 10% ($12.7k) RSU: ~$17k/year TC: $155k/year I work as an enterprise engineer at Facebook. It's basically a software engineering role for internal business software. How good is my TC for my yoe? My sense is that for the bay area and my yoe, my TC is average and that for FANG it's below average due to the non-SWE title. I've been at Facebook for over a year now and a failed interview with Google has shown me I need to go back to leetcode and do a lot of interview prep before I can interview with other companies? How much more could I get if I hopped to a different company? Which companies should I target if I want to maximize my TC?

I'm sure you didn't join FB for the TC

I joined so that I could come to the Bay Area and also for the prestige on my resume. I can now get a job anywhere I want with Facebook on my resume. Facebook is a stepping stone.

Let it stay there in your resume for awhile or else it'll look bad. Your TC is far from the roof but it isn't bad either. If you enjoy working on the product, then stay there, gain some real experience and then move. FB is known to have weird titles but outside, the industry recognizes you as a software engineer from a good company and beyond that its your experience that counts so don't you worry!
