Got a verbal offer from Microsoft to relocate from Boston to Redmond for a Senior SRE Engineer position in their Azure Resource Manager team. Will start the package negotiation tomorrow. I have about 12 years experience in my current (small) company and I was told Microsoft would likely low ball me to an offer from L62 to L64 because I'm not from FAANG. My baseline of TC expectation is as follows: Base: 170k Stock: 200k / 4 years Sign on Bonus: 70k / 2 years Relocation: 15k? Is it a reasonable expectation? Also in term of stock, do you usually have the option to choose whether it is stock options or RSU? Which will be more preferable if it is MSFT stock? Thanks
Don't know about other figures .. but reloc sounds wayyy too low. G gave me 30k to move 100 miles
