TC progression for sales/business dev

I'm a recent grad and I don't know too much about what compensation should look like based on company, location, years of experience, etc. I'm currently exploring roles in sales and business development. For those of you who are already working in this area, how has your compensation progressed over the years?

That’s for SDR to SMB AE to Mid Market AE to Enterprise AE which is pretty standard across the tech industry Amazon sales is a lot different, I’m still trying to figure that out but you start around 120-160K I believe

SF BDR/SDR - 1st job, no prior work experience, base was 60k, 20k ote. You can easily hit quota (make the full base+ote) and you can also easily make more. I ended up making 94k because I surpassed quota. You've really got to target the companies that will pay more (some offers I got when I was first looking had a TC of 60-70k :( ). Look for companies that have 100+ employees if you're looking for established medical benefits/perks and pay. Apply to a lot of companies and compare packages. Typical TC should be 80-110k for a bdr. And, if you surpass quota you should make a lot more. Sky is the limit in sales
