I have a first round/offsite TPM interview coming up, and after doing some research I’m getting a little worried about the potential for coding questions. I’ve been a product manager for software deveopment projects in the past, and recently I’ve been heavily into the cyber security side of things, but I’ve never written a line of code in my life (outside of code academy Python). Should I bother trying to cram and learn what I can in the meantime (about 3 weeks) or should I focus more on the general topics listed in the job description? TC: 110 YoE: 5
Does the position skills states that coding is part of the basic responsibilities? If so and since you’ve never written any code in your life, it sounds like you’re not currently qualified. Was the skills never discussed with the recruiter?
There’s no mention of it in the responsibilities, it’s just something recruiter said might happen in the interview.
If recruiter says it might, then definitely start brushing up on python then
