I think Tesla without Musk will be less valuable than with him inspite of all the theatrics. What am I missing in terms of liability? why are institutional investors and board after him (rumors)? Would AAPL or GOOG buy them without Musk? #tesla #stocks #Google #Apple

Is Tesla truly comparable to Ford or some other auto-manufacturer? This question is more around what Musk brings to the table vs. valuation of Tesla as Auto company.
For those of us who are business-illiterate code monkeys, could you elaborate on this? I’m guessing the outlook ain’t so hot?
