Tableau Onsites

Asked earlier but no apply, gonna give this a shot again.

Has anyone done onsites for SWE at Tableau recently? I am unsure what to expect since not too many resources online.

From the phone interviews, it seems like they ask mainly DS&A question, but I think there may be a design round too? Main thing I am worried about is being surprised by a question about databases or SQL or something.

Was more difficult than I expected to be honest, last couple of rounds were medium-hard, maybe both hard. Guess I did well enough though!

Why did you tag MS and Amazon?

Because Tableau seems to have a lot of ex MS and ex Amazon

Yep... I have been looking around and couldnt find Google giving that much especially in Seattle for L4. I am expecting them to give me something more like 275k TC.

It will be a hard decision for me since Google is Google but 50k TC difference is pretty huge...

Google is Google is bullshit.... you cleared their interview as well... and its filled with people like you, that’s about it. Just saying.

That's true... but I also don't have a big name on my resume yet. Maybe I am thinking too highly of Google. To be honest, my Tableau interviews were close in difficulty to Google.

Having big name on the resume is a lie. Google interviewed you regardless of that right? Trust me, they will come looking every 6 months now.

Probably 2 design 2 coding. Might be 2/3, or 1/3.
Leetcode medium/easy and in system design something pretty standard

Awesome, thanks. My recruiter said 4 rounds with design, problem solving, algo, ds so it seems like 3 LC style and 1 system design. I was mainly curious what type of design, but it sounds like it will be system design and not OOP.

For 5 yoe, it will be system design

My background has no sys design, but that probably doesn't matter right?
