Tell me a reason you choose Uber/Lyft over the other

Keep it relevant. Is it price? Is it spite? A few people I know said they’d not use Uber because the way the company treats women and all the sexual harassments stuff which they read back in 2017... regardless how Uber has changed since.

After the JFK stuff and bad PR, I uninstalled Uber and went strictly to Lyft. It’s hard to recover from your name being smeared, same reason why so many of us won’t shop at Walmart.

☝🏼 Same

What happened to Walmart?

I don't live in the US. Lyft doesn't work outside of USA

Yelp overmind Jan 26, 2019

Lyft has a classier brand. The drivers are vetted better in my experience. Uber is generally cheaper.

Facebook fQvt06 Jan 27, 2019

I dunno, my one and only bad experience was a lyft driver who appeared to be tweaking on meth threaten my life if i dont give her 5 stars

Yelp overmind Jan 27, 2019

Lol, well, we are both bringing anecdotes to the table. We need a better % tweaker sample.

Microsoft MemeGenX Jan 26, 2019

Costs about on par, but Lyft sometimes slightly cheaper. Uber has better ride quality, drivers, and cars. All that said, I choose Lyft because I get Delta miles.

Canadian here. I don’t know how bad taxis are in the states. But they are BRUTAL here. When we got Uber it was like god bestowed a miracle onto us. I’m not even joking!! Using Uber has made my life 100x better and I absolutely love the app

Uber bromance Jan 27, 2019

Felt the same way! Taxis would never pick me up hailing, they would sail by. I think maybe I looked like a poor tipper to cabbies. Uber, the drivers have to pick you up.

LinkedIn nonsensey Jan 26, 2019

Uber is cheaper but has a higher bad experience chance. And when I am tight on time, I always use Lyft.

Got late with Lyft multiple times because driver got lost 😊 may be just luck

What saves me a penny, I don’t care

Microsoft iuushk Jan 26, 2019

Whichever is cheaper. The person that's doing the real work is not even an employee, so I don't care, as long as your app doesn't suck ass, I'll go purely based on price

Dropbox drl/handle Jan 26, 2019

Lyft is actually cheaper in Seattle but I uninstalled because customer support is ass. Took a Lyft line once and the mapping algorithm picked up 3 people and made me go back to my original pick up point after 20 minutes of going in circles in traffic and there was a no show so I did it all for nothing. My route looked like a scribble. I asked for a refund for the terrible experience and was denied by their auto ticket support system. I couldn’t even find an option to reach a real person. Uber always refunds me credit or whatever when I complain about a bad ride. Customer experience is everything.

In only do Lyft if it is cheaper and im not trying to be on time.

Gusto EXpd40 Jan 26, 2019

Uber is almost always cheaper than Lyft, especially if I have some time and can do Express Pool
