Could somebody recommend a decent tennis racket for an average 1.5 year experience male player?

Nice, I have three Aero Pro Drive racquets (they are the yellow ones that Nadal uses). I bought a new one this year because Babolat changed the design to be more similar to the late 2000s design that started it all when Nadal started winning the French Open. Note the exact model I got is the Pure Aero 2019 which is a rename but essentially the same as my old Aero Pro Drives.

I tried Babolat Pure Drive and I was feeling like it’s kinda stiff for me. Could you recommend a softer one? Should I try a bigger racket size then?

Babolat Pure Aero. No joke looks sick and is way better than the stuff Head and Wilson have IMO.

Terrible advice. Federer's racket is too small and heavy for pretty much everyone in the world. I highly recommend you try out a few rackets from TennisWarehouse thru their try before u buy program. I tried about 30 rackets before I settled on 1 which is a Volkl bc it had the right weight, balance, and most importantly a dampened vibration that did not give me tennis elbow.

I agree I didn’t like it. However Nadal’s racquet I.e. Babolat Pure Aero 2019 is great for everyone imo. Since I used the equivalent back in the day when I was in middle school and went on to play in HS / college etc when I was a lot weaker that I am now.

Are you in bay area? If so, go to Swetka's tennis in MV and sign up for their demo program. Play with as many rackets as possible and then decide which you like. You know the rest.

I agree with everyone telling you to just visit a local raquet store and demo at least a few. I tried 5 different raquets before finding one I really liked.

Go to a racket store. Many will let you borrow several to try them out. We normally get 4 or 5 for a week when we're looking.
