They should install those flimsy pipe like barriers there, many cars switch over in the last minute
I agree, have rubber tires installed to lower the impact
The auto pilot must assume every driver is a good driver
they should quadruple the insurance on these cars. recover the cost of the fire departments having to wait.
Karma goes around, Mr. Musk.
Wow. Salty much
Not sure someone fucking up and crashing is on the same plane as electing Trump.
Autopilot was on.
And another point, the guy driving the Tesla wasn't a hired sleepy guy with no awareness. He was an Apple engineer, who bought the Tesla knowing the shortcomings and all that comes with buggy systems. I don't doubt it could have happened to me, if I could afford such a car.
There was a ~6-second time window between the warning issued by the system and the crash. With ~20 years of driving under my belt, and absent any other factors and circumstances I am not aware of, I believe those 6 seconds provide you ample time to make life/death decisions on the road.

Yea likely tried to cut in line and the other person sped up to close the gap. I have seen this where people would speed up to try to jam in... I can imagine if the gap closes, then either hit that car or try to straighten out. If itโs not straighten out in time, then bam.... into the rail. Dumb driver. They should install rubbers on the rail to save these people. Anyway tesla still shouldnโt catch on fire... but not sure how it can be avoided. If you ram your car into a rail.....
