Waiting

Waiting. Reviews have been good... but concerned price will creep up with all the options. Plus tax credit probably close to zero when i get to buy one.

Most cars having dismal UX, that's not surprising.

I test drove the Model S P100D. The torque is really fun and the car feels fast, but the car is still really big and feels really big. The tech inside is cool but I don't really care too much about that stuff when I'm looking at cars. It's a nice commuter car but it's definitely not a driver's car.

I have a Model S 2013, best car I ever had for far. I just fucking love my car, doesn't even have autopilot as the new 2017 and don't care, I see driving this car for another 10 years, and by the way after close to 50000 miles I lost only 0.5% range, Tesla is just unbeatable on customer satisfaction, After 4 years and I still make excuses for trips just to drive the car.

Totally agree with you on the sentiment!

2017 model S owner here - the car is awesome in almost every aspect - safe, great control, powerful, spacious, good tech support, beautiful, reliable. We also take it on road trips and camping. The range anxiety is real though. You have to plan your route in advance in order to charge, and charging does make a long ride even longer. Yet, given the range anxiety, it still is a worthwhile car for us. I saw the pre production model 3 recently at a service center. While I'm not a fan of the look of the front, it seems very good value for the price tag. Interior is even more minimalistic, not as big as model s, but still ample space. I think it'll be a great car. I would totally buy a model 3 when we need a second car. Plus, Tesla is adding supercharging stations aggressively this year, so I imagine by the time you get your car, charging while road tripping will be even more convenient. I wasn't into cars at all prior to test-driving a Tesla, now I am a total fan and still feel excited at the idea of taking our car after months of ownership. PS: I understand that Tesla is not for everyone since people care about different things in a car. But if you've already placed the order, that indicates that you are sort into the concept s entailed by Tesla, then I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.
