Texting Recruiters?

Hi I’m trying to schedule my onsite visit for Apple. The recruiter and manager wanted me to come in late last week or early this week so I tried to schedule my onsite with the coordinator. The coordinator tried to schedule on days that I said didn’t work for me at all and when I advised her, she went silent for last few days.... I have the original recruiters number and she has texted me before. Ok to text her here to check up on status? Do y’all usually feel comfortable texting recruiters??

Recruiter here. Yes! Please text us! I can’t speak for every recruiter out there but I’d love my candidates to text me. Email is fine, I just get a ton of those. Phone calls can be time consuming and might be best for more complex or detail-oriented conversations. If you have a quick and easy update, feel free to text it! Plus, we’ll have it in writing and can never say we forgot. Haha.

I found texting candidates to be one of the easiest ways to figure out quick things. Texting in my opinion creates a stronger relationship between the recruiter and the candidate.

I completely agree. It’s certainly easier to figure out quick things and I would agree that I’ve had better relationships with candidates I can text.

As long as you don’t text with,

    “Hy bby, wnna intrvw?”

    You should be good.

So she is a coordinator or a recruiter? I have done it once and it was cool. Just be polite and keep it short if you still can’t get a hold of her/her colleague today. People usually check emails on Monday 😆

Recruiter and coordinator are separate. Recruiter was the one who texted me about next steps and communications

Okay I assume when you email the coordinator you had also Cced the recruiter? If not: ask again but Cc recruiter in the same email. Or simply send an email to the recruiter. Text should be the last thing you want to do. I din’t check my text until end of the day.

Just had similar issues with Apple. Call/Text whatever you need to get them to focus!

If they already established texting as a medium, go for it. Recruiters have their phones on them all day.
