"Thanks for interviewing with us"

If interviewer says this does this mean no hire/reject? Felt interview went well so surprised to hear this formal phrase at the very end Edit: it was reject. When interviewer says nice and looks good throughout interview it really makes u wonder what went wrong, probably things beyond my control

Like most tea leaves people try to decipher about their interview results, it means nothing.

One interviewer can't say for all

This means the offer was already emailed to you but you missed it

There were so many interview where I nailed and got rejected... dont take it hard.. Recently I really felt bad when a 24 year old economics kid who have done 2 years coding bootcamp and became interviewer , asked algorithm questions when I started answering him, he got no skills at all.. I think I hurt his ego coz he wanna show he holds the power of table but lack knowledge, I never heard from the organisation... So there are those too

I've met tons of really smart engineers having no cs background. Degree is not really an indicator of skills.

Well, you cant quantify one with that low people skills / interviewing skill and non supporting acedemic achievement as a Smart person.. I wudda checked on the rest pf the team anyways if I were to even considering em

If it was a date, and at the end you received, "thanks for taking me out on a date", what would think of your chances of a 2nd one....

Or it's impossible to know from one comment....probably this.

You nailed the interview and the interviewer thinks you're too good to accept their offer.

The interviewer thinks you have a huge banana and is scared of hiring you

Where are you trying to leave LinkedIn for anyway?
