I think you mean US needs more of India’s best and brightest.
We need the best and the brightest, but we get the luckiest of the crappy ones.
India's best stay in India to found startup nowadays. Long way to go, but it's happening. https://techcrunch.com/2019/10/23/india-tech-startups-fundraise/
China has more unicorns now than US does. Soon pay in China will become similar to that in US, if it isn’t already in real terms. So, why would the best from China move here ?
Cause you need technologies for Chinese unicorns, and technologies happen to be here?
1. The US still has better education system. And even if China manages to catch up in terms of education quality (very big if) the perception of the brand doesn't change overnight (or even decades). 2. If you want your kids to attend American schools, why not stay and work in the US?
We need Indians and Chinese to cross breed and produce hybrid of talents 😂
That happens in Singapore and Malaysia 🙂
But seems like US politicians don’t get time for any immigration reform. They are just busy fighting on non-employment/unskilled immigration.. For last few years employment/skilled immigration into US has been only about 10% total legal immigration
I’m not sure we’re getting the best and brightest though
Totally but immigration reform needs better branding and to become a mainstream issue before a politician will care about it. Suggest better branding.
Current H1B mechanics do not bring only best and brightest and do not help raise wages for locals. It’s enough to say that Google, Facebook, Apple etc have almost completely stopped using H1B for new hires and instead are building new large offices in Vancouver, Canada. Soon the money and taxes will flow through other countries instead of America because of what has been done to American skilled worker visas.
Indians always take us Chinese with them. Sorry we are different and we are from different worlds. Thank you.
True, as a non Indian non Chinese,I feel Chinese are way more brutal and ruthless. I feel they also have least human qualities.
I don't see you are not brutal. As Chinese, i am tired to get represented by Indians and I don't wanna be voiceless. Then u think it is brutal. Why? Just like We don't wanna get represented by Indians on s386.

Nothings gonna change, shit is gonna stay gridlocked - just that engineers and jobs will move overseas.
Gridlocked with the same economy? People spending and paying taxes heavily are also moved to their own countries
