Netflix because to the average person they do nothing but provide a video streaming service.

How do you think they’re going to be doing when 50% of their most watched content disappears? Probably going to take longer than a few months but their future is foggy at best.

Ah, yeah I've seen those articles. I'm not too up to date on the current landscape but it seems we're heading back to the cable days of paying money for channels but now it's streaming platforms.

Netflix is pretty cut throat in their hiring / perf though, right? I heard they paid the most for top talent. That should still be prestigious even if the product is having a rough time adjusting.

Their stock price is going to take a hit for sure. I hope they can stay competitive. They’ll always be around but I think they’re going to be hurting for a while.

It shouldn't impact their talent though since they pay cash only with an optional ESPP, right?

Google's stock is flatlining so that'll actually have an effect on attrition.

Cash only or not, it’s like a balance sheet. If you have to generate stocks to give, the board won’t allow it if your revenue is less. If you’re giving only cash, then you can’t give so much to many employees if your revenue has gone down. If you have less to give, you have fewer employees doing a lot of things which may not be tenable even if those few are really good, then you end up hiring mediocre people and repeat.
