The only way Trump can win

Snowflake Computing 10Thoughts
Feb 8

I was wrong all this time. The Democrats aren't moving to the far-left voluntarily. The Trump hatred TDS is making them move. After the State of the Union I realized, Trump is a genius. He realizes, to get independents votes he'd have to make the Democrats seem like crazy far-left. Basically half his tweets are to make the Mainstream media engage in the far-left narrative that only helps him. More far-left, more crazy. More crazy, more MAGA 2020.

He's really the master troller.

It seems to me that the left will fight against what Trump does, even if it is objectively the correct thing. If trump were to cure cancer tomorrow, the left would complain about it.

So all trump has to do is take common sense positions and then watch as the left has a meltdown over them.

Hacked the Democrats email, ran troll farms on social media (not just ads), lots of stuff.

So we have hard evidence the Russian government hacked the Democrats email and meaningful impact of Russian government troll farms?

If we do, please share. Because I’ve not seen hard evidence, just opinions.

Why are you in such denial that Clinton ran probably the worst campaign in history given the resources, experience, and state she had going in.
      Feb 11

Yeah we do, go read the indictments Mueller filed against a couple dozen Russians.

If you haven't seen it the only explanation I can think of is wilful blindness.

This is “hard” evidence? This is why the legal system is dying.
      > Russian company contractors
      This is not the government.

      I’ll give you another try.
      Feb 12

Yeah it is hard evidence and it's been confirmed by all the intelligence chiefs.

The ONLY open question is whether Trump's campaign colluded with them or whether Russia acted independently.

“a formal charge or accusation of a serious crime”

Since you seem to have forgotten the definition of indictment. An indictment is not “hard” evidence. I’m not sure why you’re struggling.

Additionally, if you’re playing along at home: https://nypost.com/2019/02/12/senate-has-found-no-direct-evidence-trump-colluded-with-russia-report/

You link supports what I said. You are arguing for the sake of arguing and have nothing of value to contribute.

The Senate agrees Russia interfered but doesn't think Trump colluded. That of course is a whitewash by Republicans but even that whitewash contradicts you

Except that the dems became ultra crazy far left long before Trump got elected.

You are partially correct, though- the left's reaction to Trump is to go even more nuts, instead of coming to their senses.

Those are not her positions, most of those are stupid caricatures of her position and she has been excellent at demolishing people who misrepresent her like that.

If that's your only way to try and counter her she's heading to the Whitehouse.

But Trump didn't need to worry, by the time she is old enough to run for president he will be in advanced stages of dementia and not know his own name.

Lol leet_away. You prove that both sides are exactly the same. Both sides massively exaggerate and makes gross mischaracterizations of the other side's positions. Just about sums up this country beautifully 😂

Half of Republican voters favor Medicare for All and 70% tax marginal tax rates on the rich.

This is why she will win. Guys like leet can't face what she really says. He's gotta lie because they truth is she's on the right track.

Okay leet_away. Whatever you say 😂
      Feb 9
    • Microsoft leet_away
Ok trolls. Looks like you can’t stand behind someone like AOC unless you lie about her views to make them more acceptable.

      Things she literally said:
      - abolish ice
      - Medicare for all
      - 70% tax rate on the rich
      - all Latino people have a right to come to the USA because they are the natives of these lands

Things she didn’t say literally but can be summarized as I mentioned above. Does the green new deal aim to eliminate air travel and combustion engines? The green new deal also talks about cows as a source of pollution. How does it propose to deal with that problem?
      Feb 9
    • Microsoft HURi57
AOC wants to abolish ICE. Trumpy wants to build a fucking wall. We are surrounded by idiots.
      Feb 9
    • Amazon heyyeh
We were fine without ICE before 2003 so why not? ICE is a relatively new thing that hasn't really proved to have any value yet. Everything it does can be better done by other agencies and was before 2003. It is just excessive government waste.

And we are fine without a wall.
      Feb 9
    • Microsoft HURi57
We are definitely fine without a wall. No question about it. It's just a symbolic piece of crap to satisfy his base.

Not according to your link. According to the link you provided his highest in August was 50% on August 14th.

If we compare trump at the 18th month mark to Obama, what do we find?
      Feb 11
    • Amazon heyyeh
Ooh, then it's 9% drop not just the 6 points I had thought. He's in real trouble then.

Obama didn't squeeze in with a razor thin electoral college victory won with less than half of 1% in the swing states and at this point Obama was 9.5% more popular than Trump.

There's still close to two years to go and maybe he'll make a comeback but right now he's losing.

Obama also didn’t go against possibly the most qualified candidate ever, who happened to be a woman with a massive amount of money. Come on now.

The fact that Trump was beating Obama’s approval at any point tells you all you need to know.

Let’s not forget polls historically significantly favor the left.
      Feb 12
    • Amazon heyyeh
Trump wasn't beating Obama's approval at any point. Not even close.

Also whatever bias polls include is there in both the before and after. So ignore the raw number and just look at the direction and magnitude: down 6 to 9 percent.

That moment in history where the idea of Donald Trump representing a country got normalized. Holy fucking shit.

The level of unawareness, delusion, poor character judgment, tone deafness and flat ignorance (or, alternatively, shady interests and complete lack of empathy) required to stand behind an individual like Donald Trump, is mind blowing.
Evidently, Trump is not the problem but the symptom.
    Feb 92

Ever ask yourself if you’re the one who’s ignorant? If you can’t understand why he was elected at this point maybe you’re part of the problem.

The whole “if you support trump, there is no arguing about it anymore, you are a racist”. Just because you believe it with all your heart doesn’t make it true. Democrats are making their own religion now
    Feb 90

Yeah, the Democrats are not moving to the left voluntarily... their voters are and the popularity of left proposals (even among independents and Republican voters) has the centrist neoliberal leadership and corporate sponsors of the party scared and scrambling to try and stay ahead of it to defang and co-opt it.

DNC centrists attack AOC as much as Fox News - just with more concern-trolling than red-baiting.

    • Credit Karma EllisDee25
Also, I’m pretty skeptical of running for office - especially in the Democratic Party - as the best way for the left to grow. I still saw AOC and some of the other left electoral challenges as a positive - I just feel like the Left needs to build up a real base within our communities before we have the type of pull to wage electoral efforts. But I’ve been really impressed with AOC so far. The dark money thing and how she’s been pushing policy are a huge breath of fresh air in a stale stale place.
      Feb 9
    • Credit Karma EllisDee25
That reminds me: ever flown out of John Wayne airport? It’s freaky. The runway is shorter so the plane has to take off really fast and steep because the standard takeoff would disturb the wealthy residents of Newport Beach.

FYI, I’ve had a few drinks.

Democrats are fucked. I see people getting tired of their craziness and going to back Trump, I do not know a single person that voted for Trump that wouldn't do so again.

He's going to win in 2020 with about 10% more votes than 2016.

Independents will not vote for Socialism and that's the Democratic platform.
    Feb 91

I have realized this about him a long time ago and haven't engaged in reading any of the whitehouse briefings or the PR around his tweets.

I look for news release sent out by specific departments. He says he is going to do things, but almost never follows through on them unless they will push the democrats far left or keep the independents with him in 2020.
