A slew of ‘retiring early’, ‘leaving to pursue my passion’ emails and LinkedIn posts have started making the rounds amid mid level Exec’s. The #layoff, or #rif clouds loom large today. #SomeoneTellTheSLTThatTheirKarmaIsGonnaBiteEmInDaAssSoon
& what are the benefits?
Strange, why would these people post it on LinkedIn ., like someone is really caring for them other than their family.
Some teams in Microsoft (including azure) have even fired entire teams in less than 2 weeks after they hired them. Such jerks.
Why layoffs MS is doing great ? Is it across the board or certain teams ?
Just because the company is doing well doesn’t mean there are no layoffs. Since Satya became the CEO, this has been a quarterly event without fail.

That is not necessarily RIF. This is the perfect time to quit if you have a new gig lined up because you maxed your bonus. I sent my goodbye email yesterday and was not rif’d
