There is a position at Google Austin I feel a good fit, but I don't know anyone at Google, so how does the referral work?
Google atx is mainly backend java, python, and C
Blind anonymous referrals are pointless and just someone trying to throw strings of spaghetti against the wall to get a referral bonus. I’ve never referred a stranger regardless of their resume. A solid referral from someone at a staff level may bypass the phone screen but that’s about it. Find and contact the recruiter.
Absolutely wrong. I'm at Uber because of a referral from Blind. Thankfully there are helpful people here (unlike you). It costs you nothing to pass a resume onto a recruiter or just refer a person. Obviously don't refer anyone, but if they are good then why not?
It costs us credibility.
Just apply online no one refers without knowing and working with you

You need to apply to the position and contact a recruiter. No one who matters is going to refer someone they don’t know.
