Guys, i got three onsite rejections in two weeks from Amazon, bloomberg and AppDynamics. Since there is no feedback mechanism to know where i am lacking, i dont know what to improve and how apart from practising leetcode. I need to get job soon as i was affected as part of layoff. Any thoughts??
How do you feel those loops went? 3 is not a large number though. Keep at it!
What i feel that i become nervous during interviews so my thought process is little slow, the moment i finish writing the code, since i heard this problem first time in interview n still was able to write. The interviewer will pinch in n find issues. I feel great that i solved it but they might be thinking that we helped her. How should i improve?
I donāt think thereās really a shortcut. You can do mock interviews and such. I would just say interview as many places as you can, even if you have no interest in some companies. Interview experience is really valuable.
See if you can find the questions you were asked on leetcode and try submitting the answers you gaveāI caught important edge cases I missed in failed onsites this way.
They are not on leetcode ššš
Keep your head up. The fact that you have 3 onsites definitely means you're more than capable to work at any of those places. It's just a matter of fit and not getting down on yourself. Plus 3 recent onsites in two weeks is a great frequency!! U got it man
You should do mock interviews. They will give you feedback of what you might be doing wrong. Use a service, not a friend. You need someone impartial who will give honest feedback.
Okay sure will try
Converting one out of 3 onsite interview is tough, so you are not doing bad, step up your preparation, see if any of your friends can help in doing mock interviews for you and get the feedback from them, all the best š
Try to analyze yourself what you thing didnāt go well in each interview process
Try some start ups? Usually the interview is less algorithms-based .
Keep going. I got 15 rejections in a couple of months before landing my dream job. Most people from the companies that rejected me are dreaming to be where I am today. They were not ready for you and gave you an opportunity to find something better. Just focus on the next interview and treat it as preparation for the one that follows. Good luck.
Curious to know what your dream job is and what sort of rejections + preparations you went through in those months
I joined FANG after failing a lot of on-sites. They just prepared me for the important interviews. I also failed Google on-site and received an offer not long after that. Looking back I feel very lucky that I wasn't offered a job earlier.
Keep going...donāt give up. Iām just at the beginning of my journey and brushing up. I failed only one on site, which was Google and had no preparation for it so I struggled on a few things. Looking back at what I know now, I wouldāve surely aced it. Itās okay though because we can always try again. Donāt give up man! Iām rooting for ya, all the best.
Ask the recruiters for feedback?
Those companies wonāt share feedback with you.
Usually, recruiters wonāt give any feedback :(
