Joining Palantir London as a delta in January. For any current/ex deltas: looking back, what would you have done to make this a good experience? I have worked as a contractor/consultant before, but I have never travelled a lot. I'm only 21 with close to no responsibilities, so willing to sacrifice my time now. Also, I was told over the phone I would be joining a team that focuses on workflows? I'm not sure what that means, but if anyone has any insight, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Can you share TC offered and location please?

Just ask your recruiter to hook you up with deltas to chat with and ask them not randos on blind
I did, but I have a feeling anonimity helps with the truth
Stalk some ex deltas from your school then, use LinkedIn to find them with the filters
Not a palantir delta, but did a lot of consulting. Get rid of your apartment, just stay in town on site in lieu of flying home (in the hotel, this should be covered). Get rid of your car, use the rental to get around. Live off of the per diem. You can make a ton of money and have nearly 0 cost of living expenses. Pay off everything and invest everything else. Make it last 2.5years then plan to move on (unless you still love the life style). Again can't talk for your company but most I worked for that was what I did till I got married and left the game.
did you get burnt out quickly? any tips for the day to day?
I turned into a real dick on some weekends due to being stressed out by travel. But nah, I found it fun. Work never burned me out.

Delta sucks lol. The constant travel is annoying (and no business class), and a lot of times you don’t end up anywhere fun. Then you get the opportunity to work on absolute shite code running on crappy client stacks that go down every weekend.
I don't mind it as a concept, it sounds like I'll be able to save up more money (since most of my expenses would be paid for), and my understanding is that I could just move to a regular SE once I burn out? In practice, I'm not sure what constant travelling will be like, so I'll see soon.
You have no idea what burn out is
