What is the appeal to NVIDIA?
Change companies at least once and get another round of sign on stock
35-45 is likely going to be the ramp to your prime earning years, so think about where you see yourself at 45 and plan accordingly especially if having a family is also a desire. Stop taking shit that you would normally be ok with in your younger years and get into viking (as opposed to a victim) mode.
Max out your 401k, Roth if eligible. Go to a company with good outlook and hold on to any RSU award for a looong time.
What do you mean by hold onto RSU for long time? You mean after it vests don't sell?
Would this include Facebook?
Follow! 32 now and don’t want to regret after 8-10 years!!
Guess we need to learn to use the notification/bookmark button on blind first 😜
Lol! The whole life is learning! Guess what did we all learn from the Microsoft vs apple?
Plan to retire in the next ten years. Do whatever the fuck you want in your 40s.
How to do that aside from making dat FAANG money?
I don't think it really matters where you work. If you're in tech chances are you're making a lot more than the average human on Earth. I have a quote I live by "We pay the price of an extraordinary life or the regrets of an average life. The first requires a sacrifice of hours, but the second requires a sacrifice of dreams." Decide what you are willing to sacrifice in your 30s in order to fulfill what you desire in your 40s and 50s.

Don't regret your past, look and plan towards the future. Don't worry about the company, always look after yourself. All family stuff, plan ahead and get done with them faster.
Interesting that you say to get family stuff done faster. I would've thought it would be better to accelerate career before starting a family and coasting off your high salary (due to previous years of ladder climbing) after?
Nope. It’s hard to raise kids. Harder as you get older and have less energy. It’s hard having babies. Even harder the older you get. I should’ve started sooner.
Agree w folks noting that your earnings will likely peak in mid 40s so 35-45 is when you really want to save money and work as smart as possible--switch companies to level up, learn to negotiate, build as many skillsets and different industry experiences as you can to make getting a job after 45 easier. Don't be afraid to move around and try new geographies, or, alternatively, buy a property, any property, you'll thank yourseld later.
Such great advice! Thanks from a fellow Amazonian!
