Trump can't be trusted, either. He has a notorious reputation for backing out of deals and stiffing his vendors. He definitely isn't the one to negotiate from a position of credibility. The Chinese know he can't be trusted, so why should they give anything up?

Are you a Taiwanese? I had a Taiwanese colleague. On his first day I asked him whether he was Chinese. He twas really pissed off by my question. He told me Taiwanese are completely different from Chinese and how bad he thinks Chinese are, including this βnever trust a Chineseβ lol. He said that sentence in such a hateful way that even today I can remember it so clearly.
I am a fan of the Chinese Uncensored channel. I am part of its 50 cents army (not the one sponsored by the CCP).
China uncensored is a cringy worthy source of misinformation on China. Try advChina, or literally any other YouTuber would be a better source of information. These were never promises made. The Trump adminstration basically defines what China says they'll "look into" into a "promise to change". They don't understand the nuances of language (biggly surprise) from the diplomatic table.
China's broken promises predate Trump by ~ 17 years. Disaggregation is the solution.
I think we Chinese have to do a better job of pointing out the lies that are being spread about China by the anti-China forces. We need to call a spade a spade and call out the disinformation campaign.
