What are top tier fintech companies for quant or software position? These that I know are: Two Sigma, Jane Street, Citadel, Bloomberg, DE Shaw. What else? Appreciate your sharing.
None of those are fintech companies. Fintech companies are companies like Stripe, Robinhood, and Acorns to name a few. Not every financial company that heavily invests in tech is a fintech company.
I think you're looking more at hedge funds. AQR, Optiver, IMC, and DRW may be up your alley though.
BBG is a tech company not fintecg
That’s what they tell you to prevent you from looking for something better but it’s very false. IMO Bloomberg is not even close to a tech company. 1) Legacy 2) Unless you’re in infra, you will have to deal with heavy-on-the-finance domain models... If you’re familiar with DDD (Domain Driven Design). 3) C++ if you don’t count the pathetic misdirected attempt at Python.
I’ll join BBG soon and I’m interested in finance. May I ask for those finance application team, would people use python? Also why I heard most BBG people don’t like finance domain driven team? Wouldn’t finance be a nice money-making field? I like that
HRT, Bridgewater
Thanks everyone!
These are financial service companies that heavily invest in technology, rely on tech to make money and pay engineers well. They are not fintech. Fintech refer to stripe, RobinHood
